As Moodle increases in popularity, those of us who already use Moodle and know how much you can do with it are often asked for more information. The best place to go is the Moodle site, but there are a number of other useful sites which can give you ideas and information. Some of my favourites are set out below. Some of them are links to Moodle service providers with whom I have either worked directly or know through MoodleMoot, the annual UK conference that I helped to organise until last year.
http://moodle.org This is the main site address. The documentation section is very useful, although the contributions vary and some are less detailed than others.
http://fraser.typepad.com/moodle This is a Moodle blog which is written by Josie Fraser who knows her moodle!
http://www.pteppic.net Sean Keogh’s site for Moodle hosting and support. Sean is a Moodle partner, which means that he is endorsed by the inventor of Moodle and is in regular contact with him.
http://howtomoodle.com a Moodle training for teachers at all levels of education. The training is in small groups and is very thorough.
http://moodlemoot.org This has papers, podcasts, slides etc from this year’s conference and previous years as well. Well worth a look as there is a lot of “here’s what we are doing”, which can be very useful for new ideas, applications, contacts etc
